Vessel of Honour

Especially in a festive season when several guest will decide to visit, men reserve good dishes made of good materials for important guest. But contrary to that, we all were polluted( ready to be destroyed) by the sin of one(Adam). Thanks be to God who has placed a value on us through the blood of Jesus. Now, as you have received Christ Jesus walk in Him.

Prostitution

Although the word ‘prostitution’ can be used to describe the act of selling sex, it can also mean ‘using a skill or ability in a way that is considered shameful’. It seems to include a moral judgement, by implying that individuals who sell sex are involved in a practice that is corrupt and so are themselves unworthy. A far more neutral and respectful alternative is the term ‘sex work’.
This issue may not matter so much in the context of everyday conversations or casual debates, but in serious discussions on the topic it is important that words are chosen carefully. Since this article seeks to discuss the issue of HIV and sex work in an open and non-judgemental way, we refer to sex workers rather than prostitutes.
The term 'sex worker' refers to a wide array of people who sell sex, and who work in a variety of environments. They include women, men and trans-gender people and people who may work either full time or part time, in brothels, or bars, on the street or from home for example.
The clients of sex workers are often referred to as a 'bridge' population for the transmission of HIV, meaning that they act as a link between high risk groups and the general population. Many women do not report using condoms with their husbands and may therefore be at risk of HIV infection if their partners frequent sex workers. This is particularly true for wives of migrant workers who travel long distances and spend an extended period of time away from home.

Terrorism

There are three perspectives of terrorism: the terrorist’s, the victim’s, and the general public’s. The phrase “one man’s terrorist is another man’s freedom fighter” is a view terrorists themselves would accept. Terrorists do not see themselves as evil. They believe they are legitimate combatants, fighting for what they believe in, by whatever means possible. A victim of a terrorist act sees the terrorist as a criminal with no regard for human life. The general public’s view is the most unstable. The terrorists take great pains to foster a “Robin Hood” image in hope of swaying the general public’s point of view toward their cause. This sympathetic view of terrorism has become an integral part of their psychological warfare and needs to be countered vigorously.

Breast Cancer

Fibrocystic breast changes
Have you ever felt a bumpy texture or “lumpiness” in your breasts? This lumpiness, plus tenderness or pain at certain times of the month, is called fibrocystic [FI-bro-sis-tic] breast changes. These changes are a normal part of the menstrual cycle. You are most likely to notice them in the premenstrual phase of
your cycle, or when taking hormones if you are past menopause. Fibrocystic changes do not increase your chance of getting breast cancer. However, a breast
change that should be checked is one that does not change with your cycle. Any persistent lump or thick-ening should be checked by your health care provider.

Have you found a new breast lump?
Do not panic, but have it checked by a health care provider. Even if you have had cysts or fibroadenomas in the past, do not assume that a new lump will be the same. The lump may not turn out to be cancer, but it is best to make sure.

Warning signs you need to know
See your health care provider if you notice any of these breast changes:
• lump, hard knot or thickening inside the breast or underarm area
• swelling, warmth, redness or darkening of the breast
• change in the size or shape of the breast
• dimpling or puckering of the skin
• itchy, scaly sore or rash on the nipple
• pulling in of the nipple or other parts of the breast

Certain breast problems, such as infections, nipple discharge or itchy nipples are not usually cancer, but can look just like symptoms of some rare types
of breast cancer.
On the other hand, inflammatory breast cancer often appears with swelling and redness of the breast without a distinct lump. It is sometimes mistaken for an infection.
No matter what the diagnosis, if you feel that something is wrong, ask for a biopsy or get a second opinion. After all, no one knows your  body better than you.
• nipple discharge that starts suddenly
• new pain in one spot that does not go away

Cholera

The Facts on Cholera

Cholera is a bacterial infection of the small bowel that can cause severe diarrhea and dehydration.
There have been seven great pandemics (worldwide epidemics) of cholera in history. The seventh began in 1961, when cholera re-emerged in Indonesia and swept across most of the world, and it still lingers today. At the beginning of the 21st century, cholera infected around 300,000 people per year worldwide; of these, about 10,000 died.
Cholera settles wherever poor hygiene permits it to infect humans, who appear to be cholera's only hosts. The bacterium that causes cholera is most productive in times of flood and war, since these events can reduce the availability of clean water. Cholera continues to occur in Asia, Africa, the Middle East, and South and Central America.
Worldwide, cholera kills about 4% of the people who develop severe symptoms. That includes people who are treated too late or inappropriately and those who never reach a doctor. Fewer than 1% of people with severe cholera die if they're quickly and properly treated.

Causes of Cholera

Cholera is caused by a bacterium called Vibrio cholerae, a very close cousin of the bacterium that causes gastroenteritis. Once swallowed, it settles in the lining of the small bowel or intestine. Many bacteria die, and others are swept out, but the colony usually hangs around for a week or two. During that time, it releases a toxin (poison) that can cause the body to flush liquid into the small bowel, creating watery diarrhea.
The bacterium that causes cholera is usually transmitted by water contaminated with human feces, but it can also be transmitted by ingesting contaminated food, especially raw or undercooked seafood and shellfish. Most people infected with cholera have no symptoms, yet they carry the bacteria for a few weeks, excreting them slowly into the water supply.
Naturally, this isn't a major problem in countries with flush toilets and sewage plants. Canada, the US, and Western Europe rarely report cholera, and if they do, it's almost always seen in someone who has returned from a high-risk country.

Symptoms and Complications of Cholera

Approximately 25% of people who ingest the bacteria actually develop the particular symptoms that we call cholera. Of those, 80% will experience symptoms that are only of mild or moderate severity, while up to 20% will develop severe watery diarrhea that can be life-threatening if not treated properly.
It is not known why some people develop cholera while others are unaffected by the bacterial toxin. Most adults in cholera-endemic areas have some antibodies, which helps to protect them from developing the disease. In these countries, severe symptoms are far more common in children.
Vibrio bacteria are killed by stomach acid. Research has shown that people with low acidity in their stomach (e.g., people taking antacid medications) are much more prone to cholera. Also, people with type O blood seem to be more at risk.
If symptoms of cholera occur, the main symptom is watery diarrhea, which can be severe enough to rapidly drain the body of vital water, salts, and minerals. The first watery stool appears 1 to 3 days after infection, and from then on the body can lose up to one liter of liquid an hour. Vomiting may appear at the same time.
Other symptoms of severe cholera are:
  • muscle cramps
  • reduced or no urination
  • weakness
  • low pulse
  • sunken-looking eyes
  • wrinkled skin on fingers
Cholera usually runs its course in 3 to 6 days, but if it is not treated it can cause shock from dehydration, kidney failure, coma, and death.

Massage Therapy

Massage has been practiced for thousands of years. Today, if you need or want a massage, you can choose from among 80 massage therapy styles with a wide variety of pressures, movements, and techniques. These all involve pressing, rubbing, or manipulating muscles and other soft tissues with hands and fingers. Sometimes even forearms, elbows, or feet are used.
According to a 2007 American Massage Therapy Association survey, almost a quarter of all adult Americans had at least one massage in the previous year. And, they have a wide range of reasons for doing so. More and more people -- especially baby boomer -- recognize the health benefits of massage. They choose from among many massage styles to get relief from symptoms or to heal injuries, to help with certain health conditions, and to promote overall wellness.

It only takes a few minutes a day to dramatically improve your health. And with our list of fun and easy good-for-you habits, you'll want to get started right away. Yeah, yeah — you know that exercising and eating right should be at the top of your daily to-do list. But let's face it: Some days there's barely enough time to sprint from the car to the pizza parlor to grab a pie to go. We're in no way suggesting you abandon those bigger long-term health goals, but...
Here is information you can use to help you decide what types of massage will work best for you.

Which Massage Styles Are Best?

You may have noticed that different massage styles are popular at different times. And you may have wondered whether each was just part of a passing fad or the latest, greatest massage technique? Even more important is how can you tell whether the latest style will actually help you?
Styles used in massage therapy range from long, smooth strokes to short, percussive strokes. Some massage therapists use oils and lotions; others do not. Most massage therapists have clients unclothe for a massage, but some do not. A massage can last anywhere from 5 minutes to 2 hours.
Before you can decide which massage style is best for you, you need to ask yourself a question. Do you simply want a massage for relaxation and stress control? Or do you need symptom relief or help with a certain health condition? Before booking a massage, let the therapist know what you're looking for and ask which style the therapist uses. Many use more than one style. Or the therapist may customize your massage, depending on your age, condition, or any special needs or goals you have.
What follows is a list of some of the more popular massage therapy styles. The first four are especially popular.

Swedish Massage

The most common type of massage is Swedish massage therapy. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing. And it may even help after an injury.
The four common strokes of Swedish massage are:
  • Effleurage: a smooth, gliding stroke used to relax soft tissue
  • Petrissage: the squeezing, rolling, or kneading that follows effleurage
  • Friction: deep, circular movements that cause layers of tissue to rub against each other, helping to increase blood flow and break down scar tissue
  • Tapotement: a short, alternating tap done with cupped hands, fingers, or the edge of the hand

Facial treatment

A facial cleans, exfoliates and nourishes the skin to promote clear, well-hydrated skin. A facial is the second most popular spa treatment after massage. It is sometimes called a "deep-cleansing facial" or or "deep-pore cleansing" facial because of extrctions.

The Basic Steps of a Facial

  • Cleansing. A facial begins with a cleansing with cotton pads or sponges and a product chosen for your skin type (normal, dry, oily, combination, sensitive, mature.)

  • Skin Analysis. The esthetician covers your eyes and looks at your skin through a brightly lit magnifying lamp that reveal various skin conditions.

  • Ex-foliation using a mechanical or chemical exfoliant. Mechanical exfoliation has a gritty texture and usually happens while a steam vapor is directed at your face. A chemical peel can be a stand-alone treatment or part of the facial. It is generally an "upgrade" and done in a series.

  • Extraction of blackheads or whiteheads if you want it and need it. (It can cause broken capillaries and discoloration if done on sensitive skin, or done improperly.) People have different pain tolerance for extractions. They can be uncomfortable, especially on thin or ruddy skin.

  • Facial massage using classic strokes like effleurage to both relax you and stimulate your skin and facial muscles.

  • A facial mask targeted to your skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive, mature) and condition. During the facial, the esthetician should stay in the room and give you a scalp massage or some other service. If they leave the room to let you "relax," don't go back.

  • Application of toners and protective creams.

  • Catfish

Catfish is high in Vitamin D. Farm-raised catfish contains low levels of Omega-3 fatty acids and a much higher proportion of Omega-6 fatty acids.

Catfish have been widely caught and farmed for food for hundreds of years in Africa, Asia, Europe, and North America. Judgments as to the quality and flavor vary, with some food critics considering catfish as being excellent food, others dismiss them as watery and lacking in flavor. In Europe, catfish were often viewed as a delicacy to be enjoyed on feast days and holidays. Migrants from Europe and Africa to the United States brought along this tradition, and in the United State, catfish is an extremely popular food. The most commonly eaten species in the United States are the Chanel catfish and blue catfish, both of which are common in the wild and increasingly widely farmed. Farm-raised catfish became such a staple of the diet of the United States that on June 25, 1987, President Ronald Reagan established National catfish day to recognize "the value of farm-raised catfish."
Catfish is eaten in a variety of ways; in Europe it is often cooked in similar ways to carp, but in the United States it is typically crumbed with cornmeal and fried.
In Indonesia catfish are usually served grilled in street stalls called waru and eaten with vegetables and soy source; the dish is called Pecel Lele. Catfish can also be eaten with chili samba as Lele Penyet (minced catfish). (Lele is the Indonesia word for catfish).

Why you need to eat fish meal the more

Regular consumption of fish can reduce the risk of various diseases and disorders. Selected research findings indicate the following:

Asthma - children who eat fish may be less likely to develop asthma.

Brain and eyes - fish rich in omega 3 fatty acids can contribute to the health of brain tissue and the retina (the light sensitive tissue lining the inner surface of the eye).

Cancer - the omega 3 fatty acids in fish may reduce the risk of many types of cancers by 30 to 50 per cent, especially of the oral cavity, oesophagus, colon, breast, ovary and prostate.

Cardiovascular disease - eating fish every week reduces the risk of heart disease and stroke by reducing blood clots and inflammation, improving blood vessel elasticity, lowering blood pressure, lowering blood fats and boosting 'good' cholesterol

Dementia - elderly people who eat fish or seafood at least once a week may have a lower risk of developing dementia, including Alzheimer's disease.

Depression - people who regularly eat fish have a lower incidence of depression (depression is linked to low levels of omega 3 fatty acids in the brain).

Diabetes - fish may help people with diabetes manage their blood sugar levels.

Eyesight - breastfed babies of mothers who eat fish have better eyesight, perhaps due to the omega 3 fatty acids transmitted in breast milk.

Inflammatory conditions - regular fish consumption may relieve the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and autoimmune disease.

Prematurity - eating fish during pregnancy may help reduce the risk of delivering a premature baby.
